REHOBOTH CLEANED UP | A Perfect Public, Private Co-operation
REHOBOTH TOWN COUNCIL NEWS - Manycoloured Manley



The national call by His Excellency The President Dr. Hage Geingob to clean up Namibia, definitely did not fall on death ears when it comes to Rehoboth as most of the cleanup teams including civil organizations did not down tools since the called campaign day lapsed on May 01, 2018, attributing that the initiative will benefit the town well, by getting away with years of troubling poor refuse and rubble removals.
 
While all Rehoboth based schools took off on the 24th May to allow learners to participate in the cleaning up of the southern rainbow town, the cleanup campaign started over three weeks ago for some civil organizations such as the Rehoboth Cemetery Development Forum which started the two graveyard cleanup when the project manager Ms. Groenewaldt has called on local sympathizers to take charge of cleaning on relative grave and assist with at least nine extra others was well received.

The Rehoboth based René Kids Centre and the Rehoboth Multipurpose Youth Club were among other civil groups which added strides to the Namibia-Rehoboth Post Cleanup Campaign, by dispatching some vibrant youth (male and female) that rounded up the streets of Rehoboth with cabbage bags, colorful laughter and in joyful moods.

The main event was on Africa Day 25 May 2018 as set officially by the Rehoboth Town Council, CEO Mr. Christoph Uirab in association with the Ministry Representative Council, Ms. Natalia Goagoses. On main event day, a few minutes past five in the morning the communities where awaken by the Cleanup Mobilisers of the municipality, which motivated the masses to join the official Namibia-Rehoboth Post Cleanup activity. By that time in the morning all tools; tipper trucks, loaders, garbage trucks, pickup (bakkies) were all set right inform of Grens Market waiting for the masses to join the fun.
